First of all a reminder that our next meeting is on Monday Feb 13th at the Parish Hall when Peter Larvis from Heligan is our speaker.

For anyone not at the AGM, subscriptions are now due. A slight increase this year to: £6.50 for single and £12 double was approved by the meeting.

Note that officers were elected at the recent committee meeting and they are:

Libby Pidcock, Chairman,   Richard Brice, Vice Chairman

Loveday Sutton, Treasurer, Gill Bate and David Flynn Minute Sec.

We have some provisional dates for the programme:

Wednesday 8th Aug.  National Dahlia Collection at Long Rock near Penzance and Tregenna Cross Nurseries.

Wednesday 12th September Greenway – Agatha Christie’s house and garden on the River Dart. Planning to arrive by boat from Dartmouth.

We also realise we are being over optimistic with our £10 each for the coach to Rosemoor and it will probably be £12.

We are looking for a venue for our social evening in July. If anyone has any suggestions or feel they could host the evening, please let us know. We supply the pasties and the cider and just need a garage or shed to eat them in. We can even bring our own chairs.

Two other points were raised at the committee meeting.

1. We will have a list of members with their phone numbers who are willing to drive on trips, made available to all members.
2. At each meeting in the hall, we would like to encourage members to bring any plants they wish to sell, proceeds either for themselves or the Gardening Club.
